Be Yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
Self-inquiry is the key to understanding what makes our soul sing, or our spirit suffocate – it is how we learn the difference and get to the centre of our being. I hope at least some of the questions in THink will enable you to do just that – to tarry a while and tease your thought processes out into the open, so that you can reflect, imagine, and then visualise who you want to be.
I have many versions of myself – most are spawned by the two more prominent ones – the focused achiever, or the one who takes mental vacations into fairyland and gets precisely nowhere.
I guess we all strive to achieve the best version of ourselves that we can be, and the starting point has to be identifying as near as we can, exactly who we are at the moment.
Who are you? A worrier, a faker, a worker, a taker ….?
Why is that?
How many versions of you are there?
Are there so many that you’ve forgotten who you really are?
Why is there more than one?
Because of Fear?
Are you mimicking someone?
Are you pretending to be an ideal version, or the one you think you should be?
Is there one that makes you particularly happy?
Or one that makes you feel sadness or even shame?
Describe what you believe should be the best version of yourself.
There are no right or wrong answers here – these questions are merely an aid to help you explore your emotions and circumstances so that you can start to develop self-awareness and move forward in a more positive way.
